SPECTRA Antenna

The design follows all the same technical specification as the SPECTRA Go Antenna to ensure the same high quality results. The strengthening of key stress points around the antenna means this is suitable for the harshest of conditions and has undergone shock and vibration testing.

Maritime Environment

The SPECTRA Ruggedised Antenna was originally conceived for application in the a Maritime environment. As an external fit to a maritime platform the antenna had to be designed to withstand the extremely tough environmental conditions experienced while deployed at sea.

Land Environment

Designed and built to withstand the harsh conditions at sea means this antenna is also capable of operating in harsh conditions on Land. Light enough to be moved locations and mast mounted with ease, yet tough enough to with cope with enduring operations in austere environments.

Unique Strengthened Design

The Spectra Rugged Direction Finding antenna incorporates two antenna bands, each comprised of five elements. The antenna incorporates low noise amplifiers to maximise sensitivity, RF gain control and pre-selection filtering to maximise dynamic range, and RF sequencing to facilitate phase-interferometric direction finding. The antenna is light weight yet strengthened to withstand tough environmental conditions.  The Antenna unit and casing has undergone rigorous 3rd party shock and vibration testing to ensure it meets customer requirements.
