Spectra Light is CommsAudit’s most lightweight and versatile system.  There are many  operational situations that dictate the need for a truly lightweight system that is quick and easy to deploy.   Following customer feedback CommsAudit have    stripped back  our existing Spectra Go to offer a truly low SWaP  monitoring variant.

At the core of the system is CommsAudit’s CA7852 V/UHF receiver.  This dual channel receiver offers world leading sensitivity and noise figure with 2 x 100 MHz of monitoring bandwidth.  The receiver itself is housed in a protective case but to maintain portability and low SWaP this is intentionally not ruggedised or IP rated.

A high performance workstation laptop is used as the operating interface and is pre-installed with SpectraView, for signals search, monitoring, analysis and processing.

For monitoring purposes the flexibility of the system allows the user to adopt an antenna system of  choice, either from CommsAudit or from the wider market.  This allows for greater versatility depending on the individual use case from directional antennas for greater gain to onmi-directional antenna for mast or vehicle mounting.  The ease of changing the antenna also offers a ‘golf bag’ approach in situations where operations may change from static to mobile operation.

For operators requiring the need to support a more complex RF environment then a signal recogniser and decode capability can be added as an option.  The ability to automatically recognise and identify a signal of Interest (SOI) and its associated protocol may be of particular operational value to ease operator burden if operating in busy high tempo environment.
