The CA7852 is a dual-channel wideband V/UHF receiver designed specifically for high-performance RF signal monitoring, direction-finding and geo-location applications.

The CA7852 is used by System Integrators worldwide in Direction Finding systems (TDoA, Super-Resolution and AoA), as well as communications and COMINT systems. We provide a full ICD and on-demand technical support

Flexible form factor

The compact nature of the receiver is ideal for SWaP-constrained scenarios. Rugged and rackmount chassis are available to house the reciever, and it has also been qualified as part of a wider airborne system to DO-160G

Huge instantaneous bandwidth

The CA7852 has two 100 MHz wideband channels which can be independently tuned across the 20 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range, and boasts lossless transfer of that data to internal or external DSP resources via high speed digital interfaces.

Included on-board is a XilinX® ZynQ® System on Chip (SoC) for high performance digital signals processing applications. This enables output of “Power Spectral Density” (PSD) summary frequency domain data as well as a 128 channel channeliser, providing Operators with 128 configurable narrowband DDR/DDC time-domain (narrowband) data channels.
