History
Communications Audit UK Limited (CommsAudit) was formed in 1987 as
a subsidiary of Hambros plc by Nicolas Vafiadis and initially specialised
in communications
security consultancy. By 1992 CommsAudit had
identified a new markets in Radio Frequency surveillance technology and
Government agencies
quickly recognised the potential for CommsAudit
products to be used
to combat crime and terrorism. During this period CommsAudit moved
the focus of its operations to become an electronic research and
development company to address the security and defence markets. In 1998
CommsAudit
became wholly owned by the Investec Group Limited following the acquisition
by the Investec
Group Limited of Hambros plc. In 1999 CommsAudit
made a successful MBO and has operated since as a privately owned UK
company.
Operations
CommsAudit designs and manufactures RF and digital
equipment and subsystems for wide band and narrow band signal processing
operations in the Frequency range 10 KHz to 3 GHz including digital
control and digital signal processing (DSP). CommsAudit also
manufactures HF
Narrowband Tuner Digitisers, Antenna Matrix systems, Antenna Multicouplers,
Antenna distribution
systems, Masthead
Amplifiers,
Downconverters, Frequency Standard
distribution systems, RF ATE systems.
Our devices are used in a wide range of electronics,
surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and high performance
commercial communications equipment.
