CommsAudit System Controllers

Switch Matrix - Antenna Distribution

A Switch Matrix - or Antenna Switching Unit (ASU) performs the task of routing multiple RF signals (e.g. multiple antennas) to receivers. A switch matrix allows an operator to select which antenna is assigned to a given receiver - allowing great system flexibility. CommsAudit manufacture solid state switch matrix systems. Solid state technology offers greater reliabibility, and reduced switching time over electro mechanical based switch systems.

Antenna Switch Matrix Key Specifcations

CommsAudit RF Receive Switch Matrices are very high performance, full fan-out, non-blocking, signal switching sub-systems covering from VLF through UHF and beyond.  CommsAudit’s Receive Switch Matrices range from 1 input with 4 outputs through to complex, redundant capacity systems with 48 inputs and 64 outputs or greater.

Each Receive Switch Matrix in the series uses the same solid-state technology with high intercept point (IIP2 and IIP3) and low Noise Figure, as used in our RF multicouplers, to deliver outstanding dynamic range.

Transmit Switch Matrix

CommsAudit’s Transmit Switch Matrix is built to handle high RF power with very low signal path loss. Built-In TEst (BITE) and interlocking control facilities ensure that transmitters can always be protected from non-optimal operating conditions.

As with all CommsAudit equipment, Built-In TEst (BITE) features to indicate unit and/or localised temperature, DC supply health, and input and output RF power levels where appropriate, can be included, as required.
