The CA5551 is designed to switch the signals from a number (n) of Antennas through a non-blocking full fan-out switching matrix in a multiple receiver system. Providing a number (n) of receiver outputs, each of the receiver outputs can select all of the inputs. Using high intercept point solid-state switch technology the CA5551 provides a step forward in RF antenna switching Matrix technology.


SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The CA5551 Switch Matrix is configured to drive forty-eight handoff receivers and a single search receiver from any one of four antenna inputs.(Other input output configurations available Contact factory) The Search Receiver or each Handoff receiver can select any one of four antenna inputs, in any combination The CA 5551 uses highly balanced push-pull amplifiers in its design to provide very good 2nd and 3rd order intercept points in the presence of high level interference signals. Switch speeds of better than 1.0msec. are possible (Controling network timing, dependent)

High level signal environments
The CA5551 employs gain neutral adaptive padding (Option) in the input module to give the user a degree of control over system noise figure versus IP3 for use in extremely high level signal environments
