The CA7801 HF Hybrid receiver module is first and foremost a narrowband HF receiver. Based on the world beating CA7708 & CA7702 systems, the CA7801 HF Hybrid receiver has outstanding dynamic range and linearity. In addition to the narrowband capability, the CA7801 HF Hybrid has the ability to switch into a wideband configuration with 28MHz instantaneous bandwidth for continuous real-time monitoring of the HF spectrum.

The CA7801 HF Hybrid operates over 2Mhz to 30MHz. It is capable of operating as a narrowband receiver with an instantaneous bandwidth of 25kHz with a switchable 7.5kHz filter. Combining this world beating narrowband capability with a switchable wideband mode, the CA7801 is a versatile receiver for a wide range of applications.
The CA7801 is typically installed in the CA7709 platform - which can house up to nine independent receiver modules.. Other installation options are available, for example masthead mounting.
The CA7801 may be operated in multiples in phase coherent mode for super resolution direction finding & adaptive array processing.
