Communications Audit UK Limited is a market leader in the design and manufacture of state of the art radio and data communications systems based in the Cheltenham area. Products include; HF, VHF, and UHF Receivers, Software Radio, Multicouplers and Switching RF Matrices.
To support our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced engineer to work in software development. The role will involve development of embedded and host side software as part of our communications product line. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic technology driven environment.
Role 1 Software Engineers
To support our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced engineer to work in software development. The role will involve development of embedded and host side software as part of our communications product line. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic technology driven environment.
The ideal candidate would have:
Minimum 2:1 degree in engineering or numerical science discipline from a well-regarded university.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with any of the following will be beneficial: embedded systems, digital signal processing, C, C++, Java, and/or Linux.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal?
Quick and eager to learn and apply new skills.

 

Role 2 Software Engineer/Algorithm Developer


We are also looking for an experienced engineer to enhance the companies’ capabilities in software design,
particularly in the areas of: direction finding, blind signal separation, HF/VHF/UHF signal intercept and demodulation.
The role will involve development of a new product line and will require the successful candidate to play
a significant role in both algorithm development and system implementation.
The ideal candidate would have:
2:1 degree or better in an engineering or numerical science discipline from a well-regarded university.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in design and implementation of software-based signal processing systems.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal?
Quick and eager to learn and apply new skills.

Primary role responsibilities will include:


Supporting the software design processes from requirements definition through coding to test requirement specification.
Working with other members of the software team on developing and maintaining Linux kernels, drivers, applications and reference designs?
Working on the development of new and existing embedded products, particularly in the areas of Digital Signal Processing?
Keeping up to date with new technology developments relevant to the company's business.
Contributing to the development of new products with innovative and creative contributions.
Auditing the existing product base to identify any inherent problems.



Required Skills:


  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Science (Maths/Physics) from a well-regarded university.
    Excellent problem solving abilities.
    Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    Quick and eager to learn and apply new skills.



Person Specification:


  • Highly motivated and not put of by technical challenges.
    Keen to learn.
    Able to communicate well both internally and externally.
    Must be British Citizen.
