High Frequency Narrowband Tuner Digitiser CA7708

Each System has eight independent tuners packaged within a 2U rack mount enclosure and is ideal for space limited applications. The System can be used to replace legacy HF receivers in a number of RF communication surveillance and collection applications.

The output is a combined single 1000 Base-SX fibre Ethernet carrying complex I&Q data. A comprehensive control environment is provided using the same 1000 Base-SX fibre Ethernet interface.

The tuner can be operated by remote control and has extensive built in test systems to monitor the health of the unit.

CommsAudit has provided an option to operate the tuners in a phase-coherent mode suitable for N-Channel super resolution direction finding (SRDF) and beam forming applications.

The System has been engineered to allow for future proofing and changes, such as including the implementation of the VITA-49 standard, when ratified.
EMI/EMC Approved to MIL-STD-461E and EN301 489-V1.6.1
CommsAudit is also providing, as an option, a comprehensive software suite of control and operational applications.

Overview

The High Frequency Narrowband Tuner Digitiser System is a high performance eight-channel tuner solution providing frequency coverage from 2MHz to 30MHz.

The 8 Channel Narrowband HF Tuner Subsystem is capable of operating in a hostile high signal RF environment and provides superior performance with its excellent spurious free dynamic range (SFDR), in particular when compared with a wideband tuner approach.
